Latest Update
Written by admin on February 9, 2008 – 7:22 pm -Well, the latest. This past week, I ordered a water purification unit and a small solar energy packet. The solar energy packet is a group of cells that, within 2-3 hours, can charge small batteries, or I can operate my GPS, IPOD, or anyother small electronic devices. The water purification unit can distill .3 liters of water in about 3-5 minutes. That’s enough for me. I read about one rider that put the solar energy packet on top of their packs and by the end of the day, they had enough stored energy to run their lights, etc., in camp. It is a small unit and is protected in a good case. Today, I purchased another two books. One is entitled “Colorado’s Continental Divide Trail” by Tom Jones and John Fielder. The other is “New Mexico’s Continental Divide Trail: The Officialj Guide”. It should be coming in the mail, soon. I’m comparing their trails to the two others I have. I’m still waiting on Johnathan Ley’s CD of the trail and will compare it, also. They are all similar, yet different in the trail routes. Well, that’s the latest………
