Two Weeks
Written by admin on June 3, 2008 – 2:56 pm -A little over 2 weeks have passed since my last post and there are a little over 2 weeks to go before we start our ride. We are all getting ready. Rocky is finalizing his retirement and move to Oklahoma; Paul is geathering things to bring for his trailer and trying to find a place for his dog; Kathy will be renting a car and making a safe drive to Oklahoma; and larry is getting some last minute “hobbles”, hobble stakes, and feed to bring with him to Antelope Wells (where he will meet up with us).
I was at a horse sale this past week and for some reason (don’t know why) I purchased a “donkey”. Deanie (my renter at my place in Oklahoma) was looking for a pasture mate for her horse when I pull mine out for the ride. It just seemed like a good companion idea to get the donkey. I guess time will tell how well he works out. Besides, he may make a good pack animal on any future ride. I’ll have to work on training him for it.
Not much more news, at this time, but will see what developes in the near future. We are all looking forward to our new “ride” adventure and hope it becomes a safe, uneventful, and enjoyable trip.
